Beachburg School Benefits from Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds Program

Tue, 2015-01-27 14:15 -- admin

The Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds program was launched in 2000 and since that time Toyota and its dealers have contributed more than $6 million to the program, helping to green the grounds of over 3000 schools.

Thanks to this funding, parents and staff at Beachburg Public School planted eight trees throughout the schoolyard. Since then, the school has engaged its students in helping to care for the trees.

With the support of the Renfrew County Public School Board, KidActive (the coordinating partner of PAN-RC) plans to continue to work with more schools in naturalizing their playgrounds.
