Opeongo Hills Nordic Ski Club
Managed entirely by volunteers, Opeongo Nordic offers 15 km of classic- and skate-ski trails. Located at the top of Drohan Road in Brudenell, just south of Killaloe, these beautiful and hilly trails follow wide roads through rolling, wilderness terrain. The trails will take you past scenic marshes, mixed hardwood and plantation bush and down into stunning valleys, along creeks, ponds and lakes.
Volunteers groom and track-set trails with a long-track Yamaha Viking and 64″ Ginzu groomer. Over half of the trails are widened for skate-skiing.
Diane’s yurt is located in the parking area. Heated with a woodstove and offering comfortable seating, the yurt is a cozy space to change your boots and have a snack. It’s also a comfortable waiting area for those who have buddies still out skiing! Please bring wood to feed the fire.
Opeongo Nordic is fortunate to have an agreement with the landowner which allows seasonal use of this beautiful acreage only from December to March. Skiers are encouraged to use the trails anytime during winter daylight hours. Visit the website for details on club membership, once-in-a-while day-use and day-pass booklets.
Our mandate is to be a financially-inclusive ski club with top-notch grooming and trails, ultimately creating a no-excuses pathway for people to get out skiing and enjoy winter!
