Get that old bike out and tuned up or gather the family together for a day at the beach. The possiblities for adventure are endless in Petawawa, from miles of flatwater for swimming, canoeing and fishing, to world-class whitewater to up the adrenaline a notch. If you'd rather keep your feet dry, head out for a nature walk in Petawawa Terrace Provincial Park, or grab your backpack and tent to capture the scenic wilderness of neighbouring Algonquin Park.

If you're looking for a more relaxed outdoor experience, hike the various in-town walking loops along the Millenium and Trillium Trails, and do some bird- and wildlife-watching along the way. In winter, head out on snowshoes to enjoy the miles of trails in the snowy season.

For social fun, celebrate with us during several annual community celebrations: Canada Day, Civic Centre Days, Cabin Fever and Ribfest. Enjoy everything from the smash-up derby and midway, to live music paired with mouth-watering ribs. There's something for everyone.

Get it together! Join a team to participate in organized sports including men's and women's hockey, softball and soccer. Get the kids outside and get active with multiple minor sports for kids of all ages and skill level.

Drop by the Petawawa Civic Centre to get active with your choice of ice hockey, curling and figure skating. Or take it outside to enjoy rugby, soccer, tennis, baseball, softball and ultimate Frisbee.
